Haweswater

Living on the west coast of the Lake District has meant that I haven't frequently visited the eastern fells and valleys that much. Haweswater was one of my least visited areas but I knew there were great views of the reservoir and the eastern fells. I made several attempts during the winter of 2022/2023 but came away disappointed, but did manage to get favourable conditions on my last visit.
The best vantage point for the head of the reservoir and eastern fells is from the Old Corpse Road which offers some abandoned buildings as interest.
